LSX Block or L92 block
.... But after all that, when I finally do decide to get a new engine I was leaning closer to buying a new block than rebuilding my LS1 to a 382.
Soooo....
I wanted to go 402 at first, then I read about the L92 on the Texas Speed website. and Now there is the ultimate Block, The LSX
So now Im debating over getting a L92 with 4.125 stroke ( if that is even possible on the L92) or just getting a LSX block.
I know its months away, but I wonder when and who will be carrying the LSX.
That is all for now.
The L92 is aluminum block though. And will save some weight.
The LSX motor will be the ultimate BIG CUBED, affordable LS sytle motor which will allow easily for 482 beatiful cubes on a perfectly square motor with 4.25 overbore and 4.25 stroke (of course if the extra 100 lbs don't bother you and for this performance I could care less about the extra weight penalty big freakin deal!) ALL the literature says the block will be an affordable price of around $2,000 and will be available by GM PERFORMANCE PARTS in late March 2007 (which is only 3 months away)!!
This is the way I am going and with some affordable ported bad azz L92 heads I am thinking 625 to 650 rwhp N/A should be no problem with a nice aggressive street/strip cam, making around 11:25 to 1 compression, and should be able to build for $10K!!

427 LS1s are yesterday's news, not big enough!!
