bad compression?
He has the front cover off now and he thinks he put the crank-cam on right.
Whenever he cranks it, he can hear air "ppsssshhh" coming from the bottom of #1 cylinder.
This might be totally normal and he might not have a compression problem at all.
What all could give low compression?
1) bad rings
2) bad break-in of the rings
3) cylinder wall wasnt honed or wasnt honed right
4) head gasket leak
5) crack in the head / block
6) MUST use the starter to get accurate measurements
What else could give us bad compression??
