l92 heads on a 6L iron block

Default l92 heads on a 6L iron block

does the 6L iron block have a large enough bore to take advantage of L92 heads?
stock and bored out a reasonable ammount

yes...the l92 heads need a 4.00 inch bore which the iron block has

ok thanks. I wasnt sure if it needed the larger borw that a l92 has or the 4.00 would work.

L92 heads are going to work best and make the most power with BIGGER CUBES and although a 4.00 bore will work with L92 heads, this is the smallest bore that is doable and the you may not be running enough cubes to take full advantage of the high flowing L92 heads. For instance, used AFR heads would probalby flow better on your motor and are not that much more money when you figure in dual valve springs, etc.

Results are starting to slowly be posted on different cube sizes with the L92 heads from 402 cubes to 441+ and you may want to kick back a little and see what results come through with the L92 for you given application and cubic inch displacement!

I will be doing a FI setup with a 6.0L block. size TBD down the road. It will depend on what kinda deals I find at the time.

I will be able to meet my goals (800 or so hp) with a 6L and good heads. I was thinking I may as well go with these since they are a decent price. the bore issue had me a bit concerned.
