Default Getting a 408 Stroker wanted to know a few??

Hey guys I found a 408 stroker but the only downside is that it is Iron & it was built for N20. I wanted to change the pistons for boost and I was wondering if I could get a 402 aluminum block to work. My car is an Rx7 I was trying to keep the 50/50 weight or at least as much weight off the front of the car as I could.

So what are my options.

i have a iron block 408 in my 01 zo6 and its held up great but i would go would a 418 l92 if i payed again back wheni did my 408 ther werent many options that or a 427 and the 427 were stoopid priced

penalty of weight is ~62lbs so maybe with a battery relocation and some smaller wheels up front you could keep close to the 50/50 you want ..plus you can find carbon fiber hoods all over ebay that would help from wat i remember they are really cheap for that car

iron blocks can take alot abuse done right they are great ($$$) and hold a ton of horsepower
N/A go alum.
max effort nitro/turbo iron

is goin alum really worth the added $ if your getting a good deal

in my 408 i have eagle crank manley rods je pistons lamar walden heads that flowed ~325cfm fast 90/90 get this it made 470 on a mustang dyno with and old 78 TB and 2.5 exhaust ( i couldnt belive it i was expecting with the small TB and the 2.5 exh. set up to give about 440 on a mustang dyno) this was all on wat i considered a fairly conservative tune

i have a pretty agressive cam and the heads flow really good (for that time) ..thats the key....it was put in the car in 2003 so its been a while (and 2 cam changes as well as other "improvments")

408 iron all the way. The extra weight hasn`t bothered me at all. Good luck!
