Magnacharged LS2 w/ GT2-3...Valvespring advice?
Hey all -
Which Valvespring would you suggest using on an LS2 with both a Magnacharger (7psi) and a LPE GT2-3 cam (207/220 .57x" lift)?
I've narrowed it to two choices, both beehives - Comp 918s or PSI-1511s. (I will use Ti retainers with either)
Comp-918s are 130lbs @ 1.8" and 318lbs @ 1.2".
PSI-1511s are 120lbs @ 1.8" and 350lbs @ 1.2".
(recall that many use LS6-springs with just the GT2-3, and many use LS6-springs with just the SC....but not necessarily a combo of cam+SC)
I know the Comp-918s are sufficient to handle the lobes of the LPE Cam and the boost-pressure from the SC, but spring-longevity and reliability is also of great importance to me. Hence, the reason why I am considering the PSI springs (aka ISKY toolroom springs). I would love to have the springs last 30k+ miles without even considering if their fatigued, and I think the PSIs would offer that best opportunity....However, is the open-pressure (350lbs) waay overkill for my cam/SC combo, and thus put undue stress on the stock lifters (ie, then increase the case of a premature lifter failure)? I mean, there's guys using the PSI springs with very aggressive lobes and lifts greatly exceeding .600"......
Any help / advice is appreciated.

Thank-you Grimes for the response, but duals aren't a choice for myself. I prefer the lighter mass and better harmonics of the beehives. Hence, that's why/how I've got it narrowed to the two choices I listed originally.

Crazy idea....ever think of checking with LPE? Better yet, check with Ed Potter at LM Speed====>
Ex-LPE staff guy, into fbody magnacharger's and uses that cam in his combo. Either way, you're bound to get the answer you're looking for!
