Default anyone use engine analyzer to pick a cam?

Ive been messing around with my demo copy of ea pro 3.5 and put in my specs for a 408 with l92 heads. Im trying to play with some numbers to find the right cam to make good power out of this setup. since no one yet has tried any big cams in the l92 combination. Is this program a waste of time or will it actually apply to the real world?

I'd like to see what the responses to your question as well. I've been doing the same thing with a 415 with L92 heads in Pro Racing's DynoSim. I also wonder how accurate the program is and whether I should order a custom cam based on that the software says.

I've been using it for about a year. It's very accurate if your set up information is accurate.

I've been using EA and EA Pro for over 10 years now. It is a very accurate trending tool that does an excellent job of simulating engine output and dynamics IF the CORRECT inputs are used.

I have personally ordered many cams based on output from EA Pro starting at v2.1c.

In EAP v3.5 go to Help>Acknowledgments, I'm the third person on the list.

I also have Pro Racing Sim DynoSim Pro Tools Edition v4.11. It does some cool stuff that EAP doesn't, but doesn't have the same number of inputs. The one tool that I would love to put through the paces is Dynomation.
