Default cam ?

ive just bought an 05 gto 6 spd and as soon as ive gotten my excise and college paid for this semester ill be saving for a cam swap along with long tubes and flow pipes.

heres the specs on the cam im looking into:
m Style: Hydraulic roller tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,500-6,500
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 230
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 237
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 230 int./237 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 314
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 322
Advertised Duration: 314 int./322 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.540 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.540 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.540 int./0.540 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 110

i want to go with the ls6 gm springs or will my stock ls2 springs with 14k miles ok? on tsp they say they are good to .550. so they should be sufficent correct? and i was also planning on running tsp pushrods just for safe keeping. the car wont be near a track for a long time. just want something that will give a solid increase in power and give it the old school goat cammed out sound. would this combo do the trick?

Your car already has Ls6 springs in it thats what they some with. There is no such thing as LS2 springs. Definetly change the springs out to atleast a comp 918 spring and the pushrods as well to hardend 7.4's. The cam should make good power. If you have any other question juts Pm and I can help.

Yup comp 918's at a minimum, you could even go dual valvesprings but I think they might be overkill for that cam. Id say go with the tsp hardened pushrods as well. Also, that cam will def have a good lope to it.

who makes this cam Lunati?crane? maybe a one off Gm grind?

if you want a similar proven cam go with a tsp 231/237 grind, or something like the torquer 2 or torquer 3, fm13, etc, as all are good proven cams and are around the same size. Id def go with a dual valve spring though with any of those cams listed.
