gaskets and bolts
its still going to be a little while before everything is assembled for good, so for right now, I'd just like to put my new L92 heads on my L92 block. Where can I get the proper gaskets and head bolts? As for the bolts, do i need the expanding kind....even though they are just gonna sit there and be replaced when its built?
Also, i saw something on Horsepower TV about new blocks, that you need to re-thread the holes before you put in the head bolts, is that true, and what do I need to do?

Any of the sponsor's will be able to help you out with gaskets and bolts. You could also go to your nearest GM dealer and get the parts.
I don't understand what you mean by 'expanding bolts'?
On new engine parts, especially heads and blocks, because of all of the intricate passages where metal and debris can hide it's always a good idea to use a cleaning tap in the bolt holes and blow out all of the passages.

So, you could use stock fasteners to hold the heads on the block as long as you didn't torque them and then use later upon final assembly when they would be torqued.
Clear as mud?
