I have a 05, C6 A4 with a 402 with the works. Just recently noticed (1200 miles on the engine) the oil pressure around 70-80 psi durning startup and stays high until about 10min. then goes back to normal. i do have a race oil pump on the 402 but cannt remember the oil pressure that high durning cold starts. I am running Castrol 10-40 I believe.

Is this normail or something i should be worried about ?

I get 65-67 on a cold start with a ported and shimmed oil pump and 10-30 Valvoline.
80 is not extreme.
