Thoughts on ls2 and what mods

Thoughts on ls2 and what mods I am thinking about picking up a 06 gto. I was wondering everyones thoughts on how the ls2 is, how does it take to mods.. like what mods does it take best to, what does it put out at the wheels stock? Just looking for experiences. Should I get one or is it so close to the ls1 that it isn't worth the extra money and just get an ls1? Any input is good! Thanks!

GTO's are slow, you don't want one... j/k
hmm lets see... for strait line.
Headers, cam, gears, clutch (if a M6), BMR Drag bag's, & DOT stickies.
For driving...
Pedders Suspension, Headers, cam, Gears, Clutch... bla bla bla... The stock brakes aren't bad but I wouldn't do any heavy road racing with them.
Also, if you go with a set of aftermarket tires&rim's make sure you triple check the backspacing as there is not alot of room in the fender wells.
Enjoy one of the best pontiac's from the last quarter century
