LQ9 main caps STRENTH?DO or dont!

Default LQ9 main caps STRENTH?DO or dont!

Hey guys im going to be building a low compression LQ9 engine for my Incon Twin Turbo kit,For my 35th LE SS camaro Now from what ive heard the stock crank can handel up too 1000HP,Im guessing 700 to 800 hp Max Do i need to buy forged main caps or are the stock main caps fine with arp faseners STUDSIm trying to save on the engine build but wanted to get some input from you guys.Preferable already been done info only LOL!! thanks

Don't bother with aftermarket caps unless you are planning
on 1,200HP or more.
With a GOOD TUNE, the stock caps will be fine for what you are doing.
Detonation at high HP can break them just like anything else though.
Spend the cash elsewhere where it is more worthwhile.

I went with the steel mains on my iron block. It really wasn't that much extra. It's all about piece of mind. You cant built the lower end too strong.
