T56 Tranny on a firebird?

Default T56 Tranny on a firebird?

i'm 110% sure on this, but wanted to post here to show someone else

did firebirds ever come with a T56 trannny?

ya know, the slow V6 firebird :p

also, a T5 has a different bellhousing compared to a T56 correct? diff bolt pattern I believe

Nope v6 cars got the 5 speed. Don't know about the bellhousing...

V6 ( 2.8/3.4) firebirds only have the T5 or 4L60E / 700R4. The bell housing on the V6 is quite different. The V8 engine bell is larger with different bolt pattern.

You can use an LT1 T-56 I believe.
