I think you made the right decision, you only want to pay and build this thing once and If you are running 91oct a higher compression ratio would mean you are running closer the limits of the motor.
The guys that are running high boost high CR's are mostly track only guys, or at least run some form of race gas. If you want a slightly higher CR you could always have the heads milled correct?

I think cr is ok too with cali gas and emissions. Just run some big boost, biggest you can on pump safely and you will be happy. Then throw in some race gas and turn it up and watch out! (if you wanted to go nuts at the track)

Nice combo you have here Mark.
I think your compression is just right for a pump gas boulevard brute. Sure more initial compression will be pedal happy, but too much pedal pedal response on street drivers becomes a chore to drive on a daily basis (been there and done that ). The compression difference means a loss of maybe 20+ft/lbs of torque off boost. Your combo will have enough grunt to blow off the tires on oil slicked So Cal streets.
You've spent money on high quality parts and W2W will do everything in their power to make the engine live. That bears significant weight when matching combinations and components.
Enjoy that hot rod

Here is a picture of the Jesel Rocker with MoHawk Option which is required for these heads.

Good move on replacing the sleeves. They would of went early.
As for compression I do agree with Peter because the APS kit is known for running small turbo's.A higher compression would yeild more power. Now if the turbo's were bigger then the 8.5-1 would be good. Either way I would definitely run an adder with it.91 octain is pretty low for the big $$ project you have.Atleast run a meth kit.

Thank you for the comments
yeah, the sleeves were just insurance. I was scared of the LS7/Boost rumors.
Well, not sure if you have followed the forums much but there have been some changes with the Turbos. The APS Z06 kit will not be used on this car but another company (can't say who it is yet ) has stepped up and will be the provider. I believe the turbos on this kit will flow a bit more but I don't have all the specs. We will see what happens....
I do plan on using the Alky Control set up from Julio or the ECS. I haven't decided on one yet.
