408 l92 stroker,how much$$?
Noob question:LS1 to 408 l92 stroker,how much$$? How much is a typical 408 l92 setup from a LS1 into a Fbody??
I figure I can get 5K$ for my engine and all bolt-ons.
I'm thinking about that because I might buy a ported fast and a tune next summer. Should I keep my money and go for a 408??

For parts alone think of 6,000+. It all really depends on how extreme you go, buy used or new parts, do it yourself, etc. There is no definative answer to this question. The best I can say is to get a good idea of what you would like to do then look around.
Another thing, you don't have to buy all the parts from one place, and I would recommend not. You can usually save hundreds of dollars from just shopping around. Just don't try and save a penny by buying something from some random site that doesn't have much feedback. Usually the sponsors have good deals, just ****** some stuff up during a few sales, groupbuys, or whatever and you will be good.

I think I'll have to wait for this project. I need a home soon with a garage so I can build the most of it myself...
