LS6 blown...need ideas for new LS2 stroker

LS6 blown...need ideas for new LS2 stroker I roadrace my '02 Z06 ....the old LS6 motor went 'pop' and destroyed everything but the heads so I'm looking for my next powerplant. The rest of the powertrain is built to handle much more power than the old stock 360 rwhp so I'm looking at going with a LS2 stroker but need help deciding what else I need to make a RELIABLE motor that puts out around ~500+ rwhp (all motor)....for my application torque is more important of course. I'm probably going with a forged short block from Texas Speed or SDPC but I need help determining if my LS6 heads will be ok to use as well as cam & header selection that would best fit my application and other goodies that are a must. Pump gas is a requirement since she's a daily driver but the cats are going bye bye....oh and I'm poor so that should be a consideration as well....it's all a compromise. Thanks for the help!
We have LS2 L92 LQ9 etc.. short blocks here in stock! Give me a call when you get time & lets discuss what you have & what your goals are. Chances are we can checkout the cylinder heads & see what kind of issues you might have with them.
With a in house cnc machine shop for cylinder heads & engines in stock I bet we can handle your needs for a short-block!
