Need LS7 cam help
I've gone to Comp Cams and Crane Cams sites, filled out there little cam help tech sheets, but haven't receieved anything back from either.
I'm trying to figure what the optimal cam for my setup will be. I've got ported and polished LS7 heads and I know I'll need more duration on the exhaust side. Can anyone help?
Here the setup:
4.125" stroke, 4.125" bore, P&P LS7 heads with Ti intake and sodium filled exhaust valves, 1-3/4 QTP stainless headers, carb intake, (looking for carb), stock 1.8:1 rockers.
Need to still have enough vacuum for brakes.
Any proven cams out there?

Yes there are proven cams out there already. Most of the advertisers on this site already have there personal favorites. Just start calling some of them and ask.Calling the cam manufacturers is not where you should be looking. Best of luck with your build. Sounds like you have a great start.

We have a specific camshaft that we use that optimizes power while still keeping the car very driveable. The cam sounds awesome as well. We keep them on the shelf, If you are interested in one let me know!
To help judge what power gains you might expect we normally see ~100rwhp gain with the addition of this camshaft, longtube headers/catted X and Tuning to 06-08 Z06's.

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, calling the sponsors on this site isn't an option for me right now. I'm in Iraq.
Zach@MTI, I'm really hoping to put down 650 rwhp NA, but plan on a 300 shot as well. Do you have the cam to make this happen? I know I'm asking a lot for a streetable car, but it's not like it'll be a DD. Weekends, racing, and Power Tour are the only things this car will see.
