LS1/6, to LS2 or LSx parts

LS1/6, to LS2 or LSx parts Im led to believe head studs are different, Valley cover, and timing cover, and lifter trays ? so are essential when changing.
Are these the main parts that need changed when upgrading from an LS1/6 block, to the LS2 or LSx ?
Do LSx and LS2 share the same bolt in bits in terms of covers ?
Basically..what bits would I need before getting a new block ?
Ignore timing gear for now
And is # 234-4316 the correct part no for LS2 style ARP studs ?
