Default Which chain damper for an LS7 block?

Will the LS2 damper work or do I need the LS7 one?

I looked into it and there are 2 different part numbers.

The lifter trays are the same though.

If you are using the LS7 dual stage pump, you'll need to use the LS7 damper. The damper for the LS2 is a bit thicker and won't clear the LS7 oil pump. Conversely, the LS7 damper will work for both applications just fine.

The only thing about the damper is ,there a son of a bitch to change cam shafts,I had one in my LS2 418 .The cam sprocket will not drop down enough to get the chain off ,I had to remove the oil pump to get the damper off so i could remove the chain sprocket ,but thats with a double roller chain.
