I have no idea if there is any difference between the blocks or cranks but they do have different part numbers.
This does solve the mystery of the L92 and LS3's using the same rods, rod bolts, and wrist pins
As discussed in other posts, the cams are different between the LS3 and L92; as well as the LS3 uses different springs, retainers, and lightweight intake valves.
There are at least 3 different casting numbers between L92, L76, and LS3 heads.
