It has been around for awhile. Never tried one!

I run a bigger radiator and a standard size crank pulley. Don't have any cooling problems, yet.

thanks for reply, my problem is that we have replaced the original radiator with a larger one, made it tripple flow but on our first dyno run we made 940hp. if we had to run a consecutive run the temperature would be way to high. I would have to let it cool down. car is a gto pontiac engine is a 403 ci warhawk block with et ls7 heads we used the ls1 pump that i previously had.A vortec ysi supercharger with custom intercooler was used still at tuning stage with belt slipping issues, ill post dyno run . my first priority is cooling issues any thoughts.

You might want to try another pump. Your pump may be bad. Also, Edelbrock makes one that is better than the stock pump. I dont believe it is as expensive as the evans pump. You might want to check it out. Or an Electric Pump

Here is the Edelbrock part number:

Two-Piece Pump for GM Gen III & IV LS (3/4" pilot shaft) 8896

* Fits 1997-2007 GM Gen III LS1 and Gen IV LS2 engines with 2004 & later two-piece Thermostat (GM PN 12581594). Has 3/4" ball/ball bearing. Dimension from block surface to hub: 6" (Replacement Cartridge for Edelbrock GM Gen III & IV LS water pump #8897)

Just for follow up on the Edelbrock water pump, as I am interested in one also. I emailed Edelbrock, and one of their sales/techs said the New LSX water pump should be available in two months.

Default Evans pump

Use the Evans pump with correct size pulley for your application. Leave the stat out. The pump will flow enough coolant for a thousand plus horsepower.

The Evans pump is designed for increased flow but also more equal bank to bank flow than the stock pumps. We had tests run of these pumps (Evans, stock LS1, Meziere electric) during development of the Darton MID sleeves for the LS engines. The stock pump flow to the right bank decreases noticeably past 5,500 rpm.
