Default LS2 cam sensor hitting cloyes double roller.

It hits the actual cam sprocket. Is there different sensors with different depths or can you shim them out some. What kinda distance is the sensor looking for to get a accurate reading? Thanks.

Get out the grinder..... I used one on a super stock motor and the only way it will clear is with liberal grinding on the sensor and parts of the cover. In all honesty though, unless you are using springs like we used in said S/S motor (300 lbs + seat pressure - 800 lbs open), I wouldn't waste the time and money on a double roller. We had many road race and stock elim. motors turning over 7500 on a single roller chain without any problems whatsoever.

I had to grind the sensor for it to go. Seems to be fine, but had to make a mess of a perfectly good sensor! I already have the cam in, degreed, and all the valves set or I'd throw the single on. Grinding the sensor was the better alternative!

Mike, What did yall do on the one you used? Yall used one on the vette didn't ya?

We made a spacer plate and welded it on.

Brian, what single chain and sprockets have you used sucessfully on road race cars. I have a 233/239 .600, with 918 springs, would you use a GM LS2 chain for that. Got a part #?.
