help with cam for 402
I had a texas speed cam last year from cam motion it was their 257/266 cam I believe. I loved the cam but at low rpms it always seemed to be poping like a bent valve. I don't know what the problem was 03 busa I know had the same problem thinking of changeing it. What do some of you recommend drivability is not really an issue I have a real good tuner. it's a 402 afr225 heads 208 intake valve flat tops -2cc valve reliefs fast 90/90 1 7/8 headers about 12:1 compression maybe try to squeze more out of it. turbo 400 trans 4000 stall I will also be spraying it
ANy help would be great

Are you sure it's not 257/266? Either way that is a monster cam. Your setup is similar to mine (except for the trans). Last year I ran a 244/250 cam with good results. The cam pulls strong through the entire rpm range and is very streetable with the proper tune.

That cam is a little big for the combo in my opinion, since you are useing the FAST intake and are rpm restricted on peak HP. I would say that a 246/254 @.050" dur., 112* + 4* cam would work well for you. It should peak about 6200-6400 rpm like normal, but carry quite well to 7000-7200 rpm.
