Default building an aluminum ls3 block

just wonderng if you guys/gals can point me in the right direction.
i used the search but cant find exactly what im looking for.

i currently have a built ls1 in my 99 Z
( specs in sig. )

i didnt do anything to the bottom end at all when i built it. i found an aluminum ls3 block and want to stuff it into my current setup.

i dont know much of anything about the ls3 bottom end honestly. i was wondering if my current heads, cam ,exhaust, motor mounts, ect... will work on this shortblock.

Just remember that the LS3 block uses the same LS alum block found in the GM trucks that run the L92 blocks (they are the same 6.2 liter blocks). Ton of info here and above on the stickies above regarding building killer motors with the LS3/L92 blocks as the foundation. Matched up with a perfect 4.0 LS Stocker crank you get a perfect 414 cubes using these blocks that come from the factory with 4.06 bore sizes. Throw in a 4.125 crank and you get 427 cubes, but I personaly think the old battled tested 4.0 crank makes for the best/most reliable (long term) stroke for an LS stroker, just like GM used in the origian C5R vette race cars (4.125 bore x 4.00 crank=427 cid).

These make for KILLER motors and I recommend contacting a top LS engine builder like Erik Koenig of HK Enterprises or Vengeance Racing or LME, as they can build you or if our building on your own, at least steer you in the right direction and may even be able to sell you some great forged internals for your future LS3/L92 motor!

thx for the input!

its not exactly what i was leaning towards though.

im wanting to make sure all my existing pieces will work on this block. the only drawback i can see is the heads i have right now. i may go a different route then the prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads im currently running, its a dd so i dont want an extreme compression ratio. i spend alot of time n money on my current setup last year. i was looking to build a bottom end for the motor when i found a deal on the 6.2 aluminum block.

im not saying im not going to put a stroker kit in there, i might. time will tell. for now i need to know if fall my front accessories are will work, motor mounts, headers, and internals cam pushrods lifters oil pump ect....
