Max spring pocket cutter diameter for L92's.

Looking for any feedback on whats the max the spring pocket can be safely cut for larger diameter springs on the L92's.

If you want to go from the stock pad location, then you're safe to go with a 1.450" dia. spring. If you step cut the pocket then you could get away with a 1.550" spring.

Because the heads are castings there is always going to be some differences in average thickness in any given area. That being said the step would need to be a minimum of .060". That will leave a safe amount of material to the water core and the inside of the intake port roof.
