Default Changing my 402 setup, need input .

I was just wondering what size stall you guys would chime in and advise me to go with. Right now the car has a th350 with a moser 3.73 rear. It has a PTC 4400 converter that flashes to 5200 on the motor when launching. I am going soon to tighten it back down. What is you guys opinion on that ?

It depends on your goals or intentions. Certainly a smaller converter will make it more streetable, but it won't be optimized for the track. I recently went in the opposite direction. I wanted a converter that would maximize my recently freshened motor so I switched from a Yank PT4000 to a Circle D 5C converter which is a 5000 stall. I love it, lock up works fine. It's no looser than the PT, but with better part throttle response. The STR is higher as well, so I would expect a better 60-ft assuming the car hooks just as good. I expect to hit the track in July.

The "5C" converter is a hard hitter, if you have traction it does wonders. TXCAMSS has busted out with a 1.29 60 in his 408. The "4C" is the next choice, a littler lower stall and softer hit. All out performance "5C" is the one. It is still surpassingly very street-able as well.
