i know about the plastic plug in the back of the block it goes in oring out correct. and what is the tapped hole on the other side in the rear. is the another plug that goes there? i have a plug that would screw into it- it has a square hole in it. but it also fits in the water passage right above the starter. please help i need to get this rear cover on tonight

The Black plug goes in the rear next to the cam. Make sure u install it flush with the block so the rear covers sits flush

is there anything that goes behind the front cover. there is a hole there but dont know if anything goes in there????

yes theres a 3\8 freeze plug that goes next to the oil pump
