Default 418 head gaskets - what are my options?

4.08" bore x 4" stroke (texas speed).
what head gaskets are available other than Cometics?
i'm particularly interested in the different compressed thicknesses of the different gaskets. and for the 4.08" bore of the engine, what's the correct diameter head gasket to use?

It can really depend on how much compression you want to run. Most people would probably run a 4.085 or 4.090. You can't run too much bigger because of your small distance between the cylinders. I would see what Texas Speed recommends running since they are the ones you have the setup from.

Thanks for the plug, Dave!! Long time no see!! I hear you're not working in Brownfield anymore?

To the OP: It is hard to beat Cometic when it comes to being able to build the gasket to your needs. We have all the most common bores and thicknesses in stock and can definitely take care of you on whatever you need!
