Default engine builders please come in!!!!

have a few questions guys got a 454 supposed to be 4.200 bore what should the cylinder and piston mic at(how much difference should there be betweeen the two)? also how much should that vary from cylinder to cylinder ? thank you for your help!!

You need to make sure you measure them in the right place.

If you look at the spec sheet that came with the pistons, you should find a measuring location to check the diameter of the piston as well as a recommendation for minimum clearance to the cylinder bore. This is just a guideline as clearance requirements change depending on application. Then, each cylinder in the block should be honed to size for each piston.

What this guy said. Depending on what manufacturer's pistons you have, you will sometimes see about .001" variation in diameter so individually fitting them to a specific cylinder is a good idea.
