Default Is this a bad tune ?

I have been back to NEW ERA a couple times my car has an iron 408 with ported l92 top end carb intake 42lb svo injectors edelbrock race elbow and 90mm TB cam is a comp 244/252 on 111ls in on a 108 centerline and motor makes 468 at the wheels with a th350 and a 4000 converter and slicks. My problem is the car seems to run good one second and like **** the next sometimes it will not idle others it idles fine ? I have had it back and they say everything is fine the onlt odd thing is the MAP reads vacuum at WOT ? I have a 4" MAF and very large filter to rule out a restriction ?

The biggest problem is the car has a horrible hesitation when you punch the throttle they say its because the cam is so big ? anyone else with this problem with a big cam the motor seems lazy below 1,400rpm

Im really considering going to a carb I have ran cams alot larger and they are more consistant ?

Do you happen to have any datalogs of the car when it has this problem? Usually it's the tune, but it's hard to say without really seeing what the car is doing. I run a slightly bigger cam and a 5000 stall converter (3.73 gears) and there is no hesitation like you mention.

It probably wont pull very hard down low with the short runner intake and cam. I don't think it should hesitate though. I'd guess that it wouldn't start coming on until at least 3,000rpm with that cam

Its fine if I roll 10mph and floor it form 2000 rpm jumps right to 4000-4500. Im really thinking its the tune my tuner wanted to do a speed density and kept trying to talk me into it he said with a setup like mine its the only way to go. The problem I have is I need it to go into closed loop for new york inspection.

To be clear when the car is idling at 1,000 rpm and you punch it, like just to rev it up quick it will cutout then rev up like if you had a bad MAF but mine is a brand new SLP. It reminds me of how the ford electronic throttles have a delay you puch it and 3 seconds later it revs up but mine will break uip a little sometimes first ?

I really think I need a better tuner I do not hear of anybody having these problems on here everyone talks about great throttle response ?

ANYBODY KNOW A GOOD TUNER IN NEW YORK

It needs to be tuned in SD then re-enable the maf and dial it in.
