Default Which cam to go with???

Hey all I have a dilema on my hands. I am putting back together my Camaro, and I have a choice between two cams.

I have a g5x2 cam that was in my old motor. The cam is a 232/240 .595 .608 on a 114+2. The cam in my old motor did through stock 853 heads 426/394 which I was happy as hell with.

The new cam in there is a special custom ground cam at a 230/236 on a .613 .578 on a 109. Not sure what this cam would do.

The setup is going to be now with 241 heads, and a cam only car. Looking to put nitrous on the car down the road, but just wondering which cam would work best in my setup, and which one would lope harder

What did the designer of the custom cam say about this? Did you tell him that lope was important to you? Is the lope more or less important than the performance?

Evidently your custom cam designer is not the same guy who spec'd the LG cam. Why are you asking all of us and not your cam guy? If you can't trust his judgement why are you considering spending your money with him? Did you already pop for the cam?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

Good thought. You really have more than two cams to pick from. Perhaps it's time to find yourself a good cam guy.

Good luck.
