thinking about a 454 lsx
for the price i was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy the parts and assemble it myself like i did with my 408
questions i have is
is it worth going with a bigger stroke then a 4.100? ive seen some sites advertiseing 4.125 strokes in their builds and so on
what top end would you recommend?
im thinking a auto trans would be the way to go with this motor but i love my 6speed lol
also im curious at what number i should expect with a 454 vs my 408

the 408 is nice and def scary, but bigger and badder is always nicer haha
Now if you plan on a big power adder or a mondo shot of spray then the 454 is for you.
If your handy with wrenches I say build it. Theres plenty of info out there and alot of people that can help. If not then call Vengeance......Sleazy Plug...LOL.
As far as building your own the LSX has a few nuances that the LQ9 doesn't. We charge more in labor for an LSX build due to these "nuances".
