Default C6 LS2 stroker questions

Guys, if I kept my C6, what stroker would be good for 200 shot? I read some of the TSP 427's are not advised for Nitrous or FI. I just thought you guys with experience could help advise me.

Im looking for 500-530rwhp N/A but the ability to run a 200 shot.

It looks like TSP's LS3 418 stroker is my choice so far at only $4200 for the shortblock.

Any ideas?

Why dont you go with 402ci with your LS2 Block and good H/C/I Setup.

I'm having a custom built LSX455 for my C6. Don't plan to run any dope on it at first, but do plan on it a little later. I know for certain, this engine will swallow a 200 shot without even thinking about it.

We do an LS3 416... 4.070 bore x 4" stroke you can juice is all day long if you want.

The reason a 427 is not a good idea for the power add is the 4.100 stroke.

A 416 with good heads will net the HP your looking for and be able to handle the spray. I'll pm you with some more information.
The 418 has been bored to a 4.080

Great set up. That cam is a bit too big for my needs (A6) but thanks for the info, it helps me decide.

Please do. I am looking at a strong shortblock and N20 vs $$$ for a strong shortblock and SC/Turbo.

So the 416 (4" stroke) will swallow a 150-200 shot with no problems? Nice.

pm'ed you. Basicaly the n2o and boosted block is the same, the n/a block can be different.

We dont recommned anything bigger than a 4" stroke for a power add due to the sleeve length.

Also for a power add iron is always better than aluminum. Aluminum expands at a quicker rate than iron/steel does. The iron block will be more durable.

Our 434 is for big FI applications. 1500-2000 hp.
The 408 will handle all you can throw at it as well so really it alld epend on how much power you are looking to make. Bigger cubes make bigger power. BUT our 454 is for non power add applications.

We go 4.155 x 4" stroke for power add and 4.185 x 4.100 for n/a on the LSX block.

You could have a 416 at 550 rwhp before you hit it with a 200 shot and be fine. Obviously anything you can do with aluminum you can do with iron

So it's all about budget really. A s/c or turbo will cost more than a nitrous setup but the shortblock cost is the same.

Nice, similar to my build, 4.135 bore x 4.250 stroke for a 457. I'm using a sleeved LS2 block.

Have you completed the engine as of yet? If so, what were the final numbers. I'm more interested in torque and when it comes on. Ideally (for me), it peaks early (2400-2600rpms), but continues to pull aggresively through 7,000rpms.

Did you happen to use a 235cc head as well? What was the cam you chose?

This does seem to be the best $$$ route to go. Does anyone have any advice between the TSP 402 or the Livernois 404 kit? I will need to find a local South Florida shop to assemble the shortblock. Any advice?
