Procharged C7 results
Procharged C7 results We recently installed a procharger P1sc kit on our shop c7. The only mod we did was the procharger kit and our custom tune. The install was very simple. We ran the car bone stock at the track before installing the kit, it ran a 12.3 @ 113. We then installed the procharger kit (max 7 psi boost) and tuned it on 91 pump gas. Power went from 407 Rwhp (baseline a6 car) to 542 Rwhp on our mustang dyno. I personally was impressed with the numbers for only 7 lbs of boost. We then ran the car at the track in similar air quality. The car ran a 11.2 @ 125 on stock michelin tires!. We have a host of mods waiting to be installed, including ARH headers, smaller pulley, and meth injection.

I drove a friend of mines new Yellow and Black one (Z51). They have different sport settings available and can be customized. They are serious street cars stock. You might beat it but if yours is quirky on the launching, don't do a best of 7 from a stop. That Procharged 7# one is so perfect.

Not speaking for anyone so they can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe so. The stock converter is pretty loose in the C7 and the DI/VCT make torque down low like the larger cubic inch LS7. The stock trans has a 4.02 first gear combined with a 2.73 rear (if it's a Z51) makes it better overall than an A4 and 3.42 gears. Guys have gone 1.55 60' with 28" drag radials and stock gears/converter in C7's with headers and supercharger fwiw.

The A6 C7s are not doing well heat-wise on road courses, there is some hope that they may have improved the cooling on the '15 A8s, especially since the Z06 will have an auto.

A not so close neighbor of mine installed a P1 procharger ( 6 psi boost ) on his 2014 Vette. it already had the optional exhaust system mounted. His Dyno Jet number was 522 RWHP and I think 486 RWTQ ..I really like the way it woke up the cars very sluggish top gear roll on times. He did take it to the track when pure stock and had a best of 12.6 .
My friends aforementioned Sting Ray went 12.2 to 13.0 at 115 over 14 runs a few weeks ago. If he sees too much of this it may get a Pro Charger too.
I told him all he needs is two wheels and a pair of Drag Radials. We'll see what he does.

When it comes to forced induction and going with a Supercharger. Hands down winner is a Procharger ( to me )

Anyone trying to do a lot of hot lapping on the A8 is going to be pushing it uphill. IF I'm wrong then hats off to GM because it's just a recipe for heat unless they ditch the converter and go to clutches like AMG. THEN you'd have something you could do anything with as long as the coolers were up to it.
