We have completed our LT4 injector development and were able to achieve a 13-15% increase over the OEM LT4 injector. Injectors are flow-matched in sets and we have found that when modifying the factory injector, some do not meet the 13-15% standard so there is a degree of waste which affects the price of the product. If we buy x number of injectors in a batch we do not get x number of modified injectors. As sales increase and we do larger batches we will get a better handle on the number that do not meet the standard, which could affect price in the future. Hopefully it's less and we can offer it at a better price.
I see this ending up as people doing an intake swap with added injectors run by a separate box that can piggyback the factory ECU. These DI injectors are priced so high, why not? Someone will design this option to make these engines go past 1000hp.
