[VR] Whipple Silverado makes corvette power! Who doesn’t enjoy a daily drivable pickup truck that makes as much power as a new Z06 Corvette? Once again we had the pleasure of modifying another Chevrolet Silverado for one of our Georgia customers who had a goal of building the ultimate daily driver. The truck arrived to us from about 5 hours away in Savannah, GA with a Whipple Supercharger system already installed and as well as a full catback exhaust. This combination baselined at 450rwhp/460rwtq when it arrived, however our customer was on the hunt for not only more power, but a healthy lope at idle as well to give the truck more attitude on the street. We opted for a daily-driver friendly combination that would work great with 93 octane pump gas at a safe boost level. For this round of modifications we chose the following:
• Whipple 3.75” Supercharger Pulley
• Gates Supercharger Belt
• Vengeance Racing Cam Kit Plus (Custom Grind for 5.3L)
• Kooks Longtube Header System with “Green” Catted Y Pipe
GM Corvette LT1 Injectors
• Circle D Specialties 6L80E Torque Converter
• Vengeance Racing Transmission Cooler Kit and Thermostat Delete
The end result was an impressive 543rwhp and 582rwtq at just 9.5psi on boost and nearly 100* temperatures on the dyno! This is a killer street truck with a combination focusing not only on performance but also on drivability and reliability needed for a daily driver. We saw no more than 155* trans temperatures during our testing as well by deleting the thermostat and running our additional auxiliary cooler kit.

You obviously seem quite upset about the fact that we are making posts in this forum. Our goal isn't to flood the forums but rather show people what options are available for the Gen V platform and what the results are with these combinations. We, as well as other paying vendors/sponsors on this forum, do the same thing in other sections as well and the help we offer is well received. Unfortunately it's not our fault that this section gets very little activity.
