Default Is the 2019 5.3 L83 wiring Different?

I picked up a 2019 5.3 L83 / 6L80E from a Silverado for my swap. It has the full harness and PCM. I have been looking everywhere (That i know to look) and all the info I am coming up with says the 2019 Gen V is slightly different than the 2018 and down Gen V.

Does anyone know what is actually different? I am trying to convert my harness before I dump the cash on a bought standalone. I could use the cash for my car.

ANY information would be greatly appreciated and Ill post up progress pics here.

If it has the full harness and everything go with it. The 2019+ modules are very different from the 2018 and lower models. The ecms have a neural network ( artificial intelligence ) in them, the block has a different style dod plug needed, and it can shut down to 1 cylinder if it wants. The cam bolt and cam phaser are slightly different as well. You will have to run the specific harness for that engine and ecm. Also, another thing to take into account, just to unlcok that ecm to tune it once you get to that point, it will cost you around $700 just to unlock it. For the 2019+ engines the 5.3 is an L84 and the 6.2 is an L87.

Think I'll just go with the new harness and an e92 PCM. Seems a lot easier.

For what you are trying to do, that is what i would reccomend also. The only thing you have to worry about is to make sure you have the correct year harness with the correct fuel controls for the inectors and what not. 2014-2016 has one pin out, and the 2017+ has a different pinout for the injectors.

Hello, I have a 2019 Silverado LD it has the 5.3l l83 engine. I was told it was basically the same as a 2018 Lt do you know if it has the newer wiring and ecm as the 2019 l84 or how I can tell?? Thanks
