I rarely post but read daily.. I have a L83 with a speartech harness running an E92 ECU in a 68 corvair. I have Speedhut Canbus gauges and can only get the tach to work. I checked the OBD pinout and it's correct. I emailed Speedhut and they said I need to return the gauges for analog conversion, but I've seen online where people run speedhut gauges and suggest canbus gauges for L83 swaps..
Wow!! I don't have the answer to your question, but your Corvair build is VERY interesting. Do you have your build process posted somewhere online? If so, I'd like to read it. I've owned a few Corvairs and have often wanted to drop in a V8. It's not a straightforward conversion, but I'm sure it's well worth the effort.
