Flex fuel?
I've seen a number of people mention that they think this engine is going to love E85. Are they talking about converting or have I somehow managed to miss that the new Corvette will be flex fuel?

I've heard that the lt1 will be flex fuel. I read that (don't quote me, not sure how true it is) they get up to 40hp gain just from running e85 above the rated 456. I also read a ton of other amazing stuff about this engine and I hope it's true..

Next time you're near a dealership, pop inside and ask them to do a search for the LT1 RPO code. The catalog can give a general description of the RPO code and all new engine RPOs are already loaded.

I know the engine is technically capable, but I have heard no mention of it being flex fuel in the Vette, Though I assume it will be used when a derivative hits the trucks.
The product specialists said they hadn't heard anything about the Vette being flex, but they don't have all the info yet. I would have thought that if it were planned, they would have made a big deal out of it (especially considering it would be the first American performance vehicle to use it).
If it does end up being FF, that'll be one more mark on the side of trading in the Shelby.
EDIT: What exactly does "E85 MAX" in the RPO code mean?

I interpret it as being GMs name for their next generation of Flex Fuel. It is a way to say it is new or better than flex fuel equipped vehicles from the Gen3 & 4 motors.
