Development of the Combustion System for the
General Motors Fifth Generation “Small Block”
Engine Family 2013-01-1732 Published
04/08/2013
Scott Halsall, Kevin Luchansky, Yangbing Zeng, Richard Davis, Ronald Herrin
For the LT1 ...Figure 55 in paper ... About 35 HP peak gain, very wide power band up to 7200 rpm, just by eyeball about 45 hp average gain under curve..over LS3
The other Gen V engines are also discussed.
No mention of E85 in the paper.
Paper is DRM'ed by SAE so cannot post power - torque charts. Cost me 24$ to download since I am not a member. Paper will be presented next week at SAE Conference.

Thanks for the info. I was assuming this would come out at the IC symposium, prior to the SAE Conference next week. Any thoughts on other data that will come out next week.

To my knowledge no. It is my understanding this is the paper that was to be submitted to SAE mentioned at the LT1 intro. Until SAE certifies the power numbers, which is a different ball game, I don't think we will know. If I remember correctly that is how they did the LS9 numbers. I am generally referred to as someone "Who don't no ****" so please correct or enlighten me.
