5.3 bulid question I'm about to start building a 5.3 for my 05 z71 and I'm wanting to just rebuild the bottom end stock and really wanting to know the best head and cam set to run I have 706 heads now are they worth redoing or should I find a different set and also what is the best intake to run I have a electronic tb right now and I'm wanting to run a dbc tb what all does this swap Intel basically I'm just trying to build a decent horsepower motor on a budget for my daily driver truck any help would be much appreciated
most guys on here will tell you if the motor is out might as well put an lq4 or lq9 in there instead of spending money rebuilding the 5.3 especially for stock components , and they are right , dollar for dollar its worth it. But if your set on the 5.3 a set of TSP 5.3 stage 2.5 heads and a 220r cam for a truck is great as long as its matched with a decent size stall
