Max Hp on Gen V LT1 Rods?
LS motors used to pop ring lands like crazy too until people figured out it was due to the rings butting together and breaking the ring land. The fix was to open up the ring gap. I wonder if the LT pistons are popping for the same reason.
Yes that is a solution but most of the issue is incorrect tuning and fueling. Gen 5 engine tuning and fuel systems are a bit more complex then LS. Cleetus C7 LT1 made over 850whp on the SBE for 30k miles tuned by Jeremy Formato so there is an example to my previous statement. That being said most opt for the 1400.00 drop in piston/rod package that doesn't require balancing instead of re-gapping the rings and putting the engine back together.
