I’m working on a oil pan project for a C7 wet sump corvetteright now. I’m adding the oil level sensor but can’t find any information on how they actually read. The sensor is mounted on standoffs off the floor of the pan about 13/16” . The plug also looks like it has some sort of sensor on the side. How do they read and is the prongs/sensor part of the plug important?

How does the Oil level sensor read?
