Default DOD or AFM Problems

I have a 2015 chevy truck, doing a favor for someone, and it came in with PO300 code, cat codes also. It was missing on #6 and 8 cylinders. #6 injector stuck open and 8 pretty much the same, she drove it pulling a 20 ft cattle trailer like this for 25 miles or so. #6 plug had gas running off it when I pulled it so I put new GM injectors in the right back. I still have a miss on 6 and 8 but at least it isn't drowning itself, no compression on #6 at all. There was gas in the oil also. I took this in as a favor but I'm covered up and I didn't get the full story when she first called me. I'm stuck with it now so I was wondering if it might have screwed a lifter, or more than 1, up and it's holding a valve open causing no compression? If it sets a couple days now, when you start it the lifter noise is terrible. I got to get it back in in a week or so when I get caught up so I'm just trying to get some kind of idea what I'm up against. If she didn't destroy the engine I want to do a delete on it, who makes the best complete kit to do this? Do I need to do anything with the valve in the oil pan? I avoid these engines, 07 and up, on the account of this great idea GM had when they screwed these engines up so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention, it has 140.000 miles and do you recommend all 16 lifters, I'm thinking yes, and do I use the cam that's in it? Do I I need to replace oil pump and timing chain?

This site sponsor sells one with a camshaft: https://sdparts.com/i-24138746-l83-d...3-engines.html

Since there was probably a lot of gas in the oil, probably a good idea to do the oil pump. At 140k, I'd add a timing chain while in there.

I think the SDPC would be the best deal, if I do the cam I will definitely do oil pump and chain. Thanks for the info, I'm going to loosen #6 rockers and put air into that cyl, and see if it does have a lifter holding a valve open.
