WizardofDetailing-what went wrong/bad with your 4L60E ?

I have no idea, had problems before with it slipping for a week, then it was just completely fine. Now I have no 3rd or 4th gear, it's like it's in neutral. Except in 4th at 3k rpms it wants to grab but doesn't. So time to rebuild or replace. Then I need a 10 bolt with a 3.73 gear.

Do you have 1st and 2nd ? Starting out in 1st and manually shifting,at very low power and low acceleration,are you able to shift to all the gears 1st to 2nd to 3rd to 4th,if yes,your forward sprag is broke and is over-ridden by manually shifting from 1st.

what's your rearend gear now,2.73 or 3.23 ?

araber89, I just have the standard bolt on stuff going on the car. Longtubes/ORY, LS6 intake, UDP, Ram Air, Jantzer TB, Frost Tune, SFC, etc. The only thing I need yet is a Stall.

Mine has an awesome jasper tranny in it..... That's slipping. Hahahahaha.....

3.23 gear now. And yes I can manually shift through all the gears and feel it shift. 1st and 2nd are still fine.

I'm also looking for a stock cam and crank for that LS1 block I have sitting here.

I have a built long tail TH350 sitting here too, anyone ever swap one into an f-body? I hear you need a flexplate, spacer, custom converter, differ trans crossmember?? Stock shifter, stock driveshaft will work, but two holes for the bell housing aren't used?

Haha one of the teachers here at school is doing a turbo 5.3 into a maverick... With a 4l60e, I was like dude I wouldn't do that, they don't see to like to much power, another guy also agreed with me. He then proceeded to tell use it will be built. I just walked away.
