I agree HP and tq can't be separated it is only bottom end power. However a chassis dyno calculates horsepower and then converts to tq. And horsepower is a measurement of work. Work can only be had though with distance or wheel speed and and rollers. When the converter doesn't lock up even when the car is in a 1:1 ratio the rpm will spike and the car will transfer a higher wheel speed through the roller since there is no resistance or brake to hold the load like a engine dyno. So the computer see this spike. That's my thinking. Also get some corrected numbers actual numbers can only be compared to cars on the same dyno on the same day really.

So, I was taking my car to the tranny shop today.... and hoped I could limp it along. Negative. Trans took a total shit on the way. Had Canton Towing come take it the rest of the way. If you guys ever need a tow in or around Canton, I HIGHLY recommend Canton Towing. The operator that came out to get the Trans Am was extremely careful with hooking it up and towing it. He avoided all potholes and made sure to get my car to the shop unharmed. Not a whole lot of places that give a shit like they did. Just thought I would pass that along.

I know the owner and almost everyone that works for him. A lot of those guy at one point had an F-Body. One had two different ones, the second was blown, both were wrecked by friends. My cousin sean works there too.

Phil was the guy who towed mine. I knew him from him towing in most of the repair work for the last shop I worked at. I forgot to ask him, I want to find out what I need to do to get into the towing/recovery business. Something I've always been interested in. I need to find out who I could contact to help point me in the right direction.
