I'll be out supporting a few racers/clients. If anyone needs anything, let me know. I'll be setup to tune just about anything.

I can, but not with Edit. HPT or EFIlive. Send me an email and we'll get hooked up.

Hey I will probably end up trapping 137-139 at this event. Am I going to have to slow down before I cross the traps since I only have a 6pt roll bar? Is it going to be that big a deal? I also don't have 5 point harnesses just stock restraints. Everything else I have to be nhra/ihra legal. I usually only run 1/8 mile but if I could guess my car will run 10.2-10.5 @135-139.

I am wondering if people will jump ship and not go due to the weather forecast. This is there rain season from what I hear. I see that there is a 30% chance of thunderstorms for Thursday through Sunday. That sucks to drive almost 900 miles to sit in the rain.

Rain does suck. Barometer and water grains will be all over the place, makes it very tough to dial a car in on half second increments.

It will most likely rain part of the time.

That's racing at a 3 day event.

I would think that this:

could probably be a bigger deal than this:

as belts might be the first thing they will look at in tech once they see a roll bar.

But either one could be an issue so you should probably get a harness belt and (legally) add some weight to the car (maybe run bigger front wheels with lower pressure?) to get it closer to 134mph.

Yeah, no harness will probably be an issue. Wouldn't wanna make the trip and get bounced.

This look okay? They have the same ones in stock at my local speed shop. Where do the lap belts mount to? The same place the stock seat belt latches to and the anchor point for the lap belt? Where does the crotch strap mount to?

Looks like I will only be able to make it on Friday and Saturday. Is there one day show and shine passes or do I have to buy the 3 day event pass to do the show and shine and cruise's?

FBody... you usually have to create a mounting point for the crotch strap. You can use the factory bolts for the lap belt, but the bolts often are too large of a diameter to fit through the holes for the belt. There is no easy answer. If you get the crotch strap that has an eye in the end, you could add a steel plate to the floor and weld a stud to that for mounting. This kind of stuff is not plug and play, so you will have to make modifications.

I wanted to use a piece of 90* angle iron for the crotch stap with a bolt going through the eyelet of the angle iron and bolt the harness to that angle iron.

Will a 3/8's grade 8 bolt go through the stock hole for the lap belt?

A 30% of rain just means that there is a 70% it will not rain.
