I would love to see what it could do on a 150 shot or more.

It was cool that you dragged it out within days of buying it, and just changed the fuel and played with the shocks.

To be honest I know pretty much zero about NHRA Super Stock, I know that you look to run under the index or whatever, but what are you allowed to change/not change?

The car will be run in Stock Eliminator. It is pretty much good to go as is. But, as this is a performance based class where you are qualified by how far you can go under the index, we have a pretty good list of modifications to make over the next few months. The index for BB/SA is 10.30 with a 3145 minimum weight.

We were 3185 last weekend. Thursday we will be putting the car on a diet. Next the factory PCM will be changed for Holley. Then it gets a three speed and gear. Over the winter we will replace the block and blueprint the bottom end.

So you can change the gear, transmission, converter... Can you change the cam too? Heads?

The cam has to have stock lift, but can have any duration. The heads are allowed a valve job and must hold stock CC volumes as listed by the NHRA. Porting, etc. is not permitted. The block can be bored .070". All engine measurements must meet NHRA spec. The intake and TB may not be modified in any way.

So you must be pretty excited to dig into the car and play with it, sounds like you could eventually go 8's. Guessing you will bag the stock short block and save it for posterity.

Darren. You my friend are my hero. I am not sure how you got to where you are now but I know you're a great dude and you deserve everything you've got and I wish to be able to have all those awesome toys someday also. Not sure if you remember me but I'm that kid that brought my car in pieces 2 years ago to the shootout n built it in the parking lot. And you and your wife were 2 of the best people I've ever met.

So I'll end my nut swinging rant but congrats on the car and I pray to be in that spot someday
