Another newbie
Another newbie Hey guys, newbie here. The short version of the LONG story on how I got here:
Have been an avid Mustang guy the last 20 YEARS, campaigned in Fun Ford Weekend for a long time. My GT has been sitting for a few years, and really did not want to build another SBF. So, I have been watching the LS stuff for a few years now, and the potential of it all. So, it seemed fittingly that I build a LS for my Ford
Combo is: 6.0 truck block, 4.00 Eagle crank, 6.125 Eagle rods, 12-1 Wiseco pistons, L92 heads, solid roller from Bullet, all topped with a 1050 Dominator. Nitrous is there too, but gonna get her tuned in on motor first. Stock suspension setup. It is gonna be a serious street machine/fun strip car. Currently the car has a TKO 600 in it, but may put a Turbo 350 or 400 or a glide in it. Not sure. I have been as fast as 9.70's rowing gears (other car), and while it IS fun, it's also alot of work and alot of parts breakage. I have been as quick as 8.60's with a glide and while it IS boring, alot less work and alot less parts breakage
I am getting to old for all that work.
So, anyway that is why I am here. Oh yeah, I don't have my rockers yet as no one currently makes an adjustable rocker arm for the L92 head. I know Jesel makes the shaft setup, but they want like $2000 for it
Yella Terra has a shaft setup in the works, and should be at teh PRI show in December, and available to the public last of Dec/first of Jan for @ $500-$600
