I just recently bought a 2000 camaro ss its an m6 has headers true duals and was told a programmer, it feels pretty stout to me but i'm not used to anything with any kind of power. Any suggestions on cheap mods? still in school and can't any money at a part-time job.

GMHTP mag (and alot of folks on here) have done "free mods" to the LS1 4th gens like yours. Cutting the botom of the air box, etc.. My question is if your car has been programmed by a hand held (diablo, etc.) did they include it with the car? If so, you could tweek some stuff with that.

you could get an air intake lid but if it already has headers chances are it already has an aftermarket one. Some free mods are porting and polishing your throttle body, throttle body bump stop mod,fra which is just cutting the bottom of your air bod lid. and you can do the throttle body bypass mod. this just reroutes the warm coolant to flow around your tb instead of through it, which just warms it up.

heres a good guide for intake and exhuast mods
