New to the LS1

New to the LS1 Hello guys. My name is Derek. I am in Ft. Smith, AR. I drive a 2002 Chevy s10 with the 4.3 v6 and 4l60e tranny and am looking into throwing an ls1 into it. I am here to learn as much about the ls1 that I possibly can. I am also looking for a stock ls1.
I know my truck and I know what is needed to put an ls1 into it...I would just like to know about what I am putting into my truck. If I cant find an ls1 by may then i've got a 5.3 sitting in the garage. Dad just wants me to build it, but I really want an ls1! Hopefully you guys on here can help me out!
Anyway....here is a pic of the truck.
Btw...the truck only has 28,xxx miles on it.

Thanks man! When I took the pic I thought I would put some blue in there to make the yellow stick out alot more!
I just really cant wait to find an ls1! Its gonna be pretty sick nasty!
